PURE ENERGY VISIONS CORPORATION APPOINTS SACKE & ASSOCIATES INC. AS ITS PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCY OF RECORD
TORONTO, ON – June 21, 2006 -- Pure Energy Visions Corporation (www.pureenergybattery.com), the leading Canadian developer and manufacturer of energy storage technologies for the battery and fuel cell markets, has appointed Sacke & Associates Inc. (www.sackepr.com) of Toronto, a full service, public relations firm, as its North American agency of record, effective immediately.
“We will be working with Sacke & Associates to expand our visibility with the North American news media, investment community, consumers and potential business partners of our number one selling, Rechargeable Alkaline batteries,” says Pure Energy CEO Wayne Hartford. “We will focus on getting the word out that today’s consumers are demanding batteries that are both cost effective and environmentally-friendly and that our technology provides a great alternative to single-use and other rechargeable batteries.”
Pure Energy’s Rechargeable Alkaline batteries do not contain toxic materials such as mercury and cadmium. And because one Rechargeable Alkaline battery can replace as many as 100 single-use batteries, using Pure Energy’s batteries leads to a reduction of waste as fewer batteries are thrown into landfill sites.
“Nickel Cadmium batteries are to be banned and all consumers batteries will have to be recycled in the European Union in 2008 with other regions expected to follow suit,” adds Hartford. “This legislation and the fact that the consumer rechargeable battery market was up over 40 per cent last year in North America, are great indications of where the battery market is going. Furthermore, the banning of Nickel Cadmium batteries has opened up new and very large retail and battery pack markets for our technology.
Sacke & Associate’s first task is to help raise the company’s corporate positioning to underscore the unique features of its products. As Pure Energy’s agency of record, Sacke will manage the company’s communications programs including media and financial relations and corporate communications.
